About Veronika

I provide sessions that are grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).

As I immersed myself into training in EFT, I immediately felt a sense of relief. I had found a model that works with people exactly the way I wish to work with them, without it feeling forceful or prescriptive but by having a confident approach to tapping into our experience, strengthening bonds and decreasing distress. EFT approaches people with the understanding that we are all trying our best, given the cards life has dealt us. The model is also evidence-based, and solidly backed by numerous studies that confirm the model’s efficacy, excellent follow-up results, and significant progress that continues after therapy. Since discovering EFT, I can’t get enough of learning it.

I have completed all mandatory training for Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, together with extensive additional training. Currently, I am a committee member for MCEFT (Melbourne Community for EFT) and a member of ICEEFT (International Centre for Excellence in EFT). I continue to pursue further training in the model and study it on a daily basis. I facilitate and participate in several EFT peer learning groups and I receive regular mentoring and professional supervision of my work.

I hold a degree in Intercultural Communication from Charles University in Prague and am currently completing a second degree in Psychology. I have 15 years of experience building close supportive relationships with people while working as a language teacher, yoga instructor and interpreter.
